Who we are

The Marian Hall is a community hall at 38 New Row, Kilrea, Coleraine BT51 5QL, run by volunteers on behalf of the local community. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018), the hall's management committee is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

What we collect and why

When you send us a booking enquiry through this website, we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, organisation (if given), and the information you tell us about your event. We use this information for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange and administer your booking.

Our lawful basis for this is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (the hire of the hall), and our legitimate interest in running the hall's bookings.

If your booking goes ahead, we may keep your contact and booking details for the purposes of administering the hire, insurance and legal compliance.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your information to anyone.
• We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We do not send you marketing emails or newsletters unless you have specifically asked for them.
• This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party services this website uses

Like most websites, some parts of this site are provided by third parties, which may process technical information such as your IP address when the page loads:

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on the site.
• OpenStreetMap provides the embedded map on our Find Us section.
• Links to Facebook and Eventbrite take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep your information

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking records are kept for as long as required for insurance, accounting and legal purposes, and then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@marianhallkilrea.com, contact us through our Facebook page, or speak to any member of the hall committee.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
